Transport to and from city center, venues, and Tromsø airport
To travel to and from Tromsø Airport Langnes you can take the airport express, city buses or taxi.
The airport express runs between the airport and Tromsø city centre. It takes approximately 15 min by bus between the airport and the city centre. There are several stops and pick-up points throughout the city.
City bus routes 24, 40 and 42 run between the airport and Tromsø city centre. Tickets can be purchased on the bus, but please note cash payments only (NOK), from ticket machines or in the app Troms Billett.
The main bus stop for all three busses in the city center would be ‘Smørtorget’, close to Radisson Blu Hotel Tromsø.
There is also a taxi rank outside the airport terminal as well as several taxi ranks in downtown Tromsø. The taxi fare from the airport to the city centre during the daytime on weekdays is approximately NOK 250. A higher fare applies on weekends and in the evening/at night.
