Join us to hear from an expert in research ethics about self-plagiarism and why it is a misleading concept!

About the topic

Researchers are often unsure about the legal boundaries of reusing their own text published before. Can I duplicate my whole methods section from a previous publication in a new article? Isn’t this called “self-plagiarism”? How does it relate to actual plagiarism?

In research ethics, “self-plagiarism” is a misleading concept. In this talk, our guest will aim to clarify the boundaries between legitimate reuse of research works and misconduct.

Grab your ‘matpakke’ and join us for the Open Science Lunch on self-plagiarism with Dr Helene Ingierd from the National Research Ethics Committees!

How to join

The event is open to everybody and you can join online on Zoom.
