Develop joint courses and COILs with EUGLOH funding

Team up with teachers from other EUGLOH partners and apply for funding to develop either a Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) or a new EUGLOH course.

What initiatives can be supported?

  • The learning activity must have an interdisciplinary or crossdisciplinary focus and fall in one or several of the EUGLOH Focus Areas.
  • The pedagogical methods used have to be student centered, innovative and fit for the purpose.
  • The learning activity should help the students to develop their transversal skills.
  • All teams must have teachers from at least two EUGLOH partners.
  • Teachers from institutions that are not members of EUGLOH can also be involved, but must have their own sources of funding. EUGLOH funding can only be used for EUGLOH members.

A special focus will be put in the inclusiveness of the developed activity. The supported initatives should aim for creating learning and teaching environments that acknowledge the diversity of learners and teachers, offer opportunities for everyone to learn from one another and engage students in learning that is meaningful, relevant, and accessible.

  • Consider that participants will bring with them different experiences of education and other aspects of life
  • Provide opportunities for co-creation of ideas, methods, knowledge, and/or resources
  • Provide opportunities for students to learn from each other

Selection, monitoring and implementation of the projects

Applications will be carefully reviewed and the results of the call will be communicated in April 2026. A brief progress report (1 page) on the state of all seed-funded projects is requested four months after they have been selected. A final report is required at the completion of the project about its implementation, the challenges faced during the co-creation process, and the next actions that will be taken.

The courses and COILs developed with EUGLOH funding are not required to begin running in 2026; however, their development must be fully completed by the end of 2026.

Instructions about how the funding can be used and the financial reporting will be provided by the respective institutions involved in the approved proposals.
