There are several internal instruments at UiT to promote your research career:
UiT Aurora Outstanding is a 2-year career development program for selected young researchers at UiT who have proven to be competitive for high-hanging external funding.
The Arctic MSCA Program is a program to recruite talented foreign researchers for a 2-year postdoctoral position at UiT funded through the EU`s Marie Sklodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship (MSCA-PF). The program also supports UiT postdoc candidates applying for a MSCA-PF Global Fellowship (12-24 months outside Europe followed by a mandatory return phase in Europe) where the candidate wishes to return to UiT for the return phase.
Research- and educational leave (requires login) is a strategic instrument aiming for increased knowledge production in all subject areas, ensuring that all academic staff have good conditions for research and development work.
