This workshop provides a practice-oriented and research-informed introduction to designing coherent and student‑active courses. We explore the relationship between learning outcomes, learning activities, and assessment (constructive alignment), and use elements from the ABC learning design method and other design tools to support the development of engaging and well‑structured courses.
Through a combination of short lectures, discussion, and hands‑on work, you will receive guidance in developing or revising your own course. To get the most out of the workshop, participants are encouraged to bring a concrete course or module they wish to work on. Completing Canvas Modules #3 and #4 on learning outcomes and learning design beforehand is beneficial but not required.
The workshop is facilitated by Kine, Associate Professor at Result, and is suitable for staff participating in the Pedagogical Competence Programme or anyone wishing to strengthen their teaching practice.
