#ComWeek Tell forskning.no about your research!

Go on a "date" with a journalist from forskning.no and they might write a story about it.

On April 9th, two journalists from forskning.no are coming to UiT. Their goal is to become better acquainted with your research, get ideas for news stories, and find new sources for future articles. For you researchers, this is an opportunity to share your research results and fields of study, and to become familiar with forskning.no.

They would like to have a chat with you. What are you researching? What is your next or most recent publication? Do you have a topic or an idea for an article on forskning.no? What are you passionate about?

If you'd like to speak with a journalist, do the following:

They don't have much time to read up on each individual researcher and research project and your time together is short. So it's wise to choose just one current topic/study/project. But the earlier you reach out, the more time they'll have for preparation.

Each interview will take 30 minutes.

Be aware that not all interviews will automatically become news articles on forskning.no.
Their experience from similar visits is that about one-third become articles right away, one-third become articles over time (when the project is finished and/or published, or it's a story the journalist wants to spend more time on), while other conversations don't become news stories but provide an opportunity to get acquainted for future contact.

Forskning.no is an online newspaper about Norwegian and international research. They have around 70,000 unique readers every day and it is the largest online newspaper about research in the Nordic countries. Forskning.no targets the general population, and the readers are broadly distributed in age and geography. Large reader groups include researchers, youth, teachers, students, and public employees. They also run the English languege sciencenorway.no.
