Join us for an engaging workshop where we'll dive into the impact of generative AI on education and the skills needed to navigate this new landscape! As AI technologies like ChatGPT become more widespread, they bring profound changes to education, and it's essential for educators to stay ahead of the curve.

In this session, we’ll explore critical AI literacy, which goes beyond basic AI knowledge. We’ll unpack how teachers can confidently, thoughtfully, and productively engage with AI technologies in their classrooms. Here's what we’ll do:

  • Uncovering AI: How are AI applications produced, how do they work and what are their side effects in terms of stereotypes and biases in educational contexts.
  • Understanding Critical AI Literacy: We'll introduce this concept as an extension of AI literacy and discuss its relevance in Norwegian academia.
  • Consequences for teaching: We’ll look at practical approaches to integrating AI literacy into educational settings.
  • Future perspectives: We'll discuss actionable strategies to help educators to develop a vision for education in the age of AI

Come ready to actively reflect on AI's role in education and leave equipped with tools to help you and your students critically address both its challenges and opportunities!

Lecturer Christina Lentz, ISK, and Professor Katrin Losleben, SKK, lead us through the seminar.
