Sami beginner’s course | Course in Northern Sami

As part of the Sami Language Week, you can join an introductory course in Northern Sami at the Arctic University Museum of Norway on Wednesday, October 23rd, at 5:30 PM. The course will be led by experienced instructors from Gáisi Giellaguovddaš/Language Center. 

The course is tailored for beginners who have no prior knowledge of Sami. We will go over simple words and expressions to help you get started using the language; how to greet, simple questions and answers, polite phrases, numbers, and similar topics. In other words, you'll get a small taste of the Sami language, and perhaps be inspired to learn even more. 

No registration is required. 

The event is part of the series "Onsdag på museet": One Wednesday each month the museum is open until 9 PM. The exhibitions are open, there will be different events, and the café offers tempting deals for everyone, with extra discounts for students. Find more info on our webpage.
