Emerging Threats - 7th Societal Security Conference

This year's edition is built around the desire to increase preparedness and resilience for emerging threats. Register today!

The Societal Security Conference at UiT The Arctic University of Norway has become an annual event organized by the Risk, Crisis and Societal Security Research Group. Since 2016, leading scholars in the field, external project partners and participants, staff members and students come together in order to promote and benefit from knowledge sharing and cooperation. The 7th edition is scheduled for November 5, 2024.

Registration, which you can find here, is compulsory for this event.

The conference is built around the desire to increase preparedness and resilience for emerging threats. The increasing convergence of seemingly unrelated fields is accelerating the emergence of new dangers that our societies did not have to face in the past. Our conference provides analysis and insights to enhance situational awareness and widen the aperture of threat awareness to high-consequence systems on a national scale. We examine the dynamic challenges at the nexus of law, policy, economics, trade, and technology to lead high-impact programs and drive meaningful change.
