Dr Roger Mac Ginty, Professor at Durham University UK, will present the opening keynote speech at the Center for Peace Studies' (CPS) Critical Interdisciplinary Conference on Studying Peace from Below , to take place on September 5-6, in Tromsø Norway.
The Center for Peace Studies (CPS) invites you for the keynote lecture by Dr. Roger Mac Ginty, to be delivered as part of the Critical Interdisciplinary Conference on Studying Peace from Below which takes place on September 5-6, in Tromsø Norway.
Roger Mac Ginty is Professor at the School of Government and International Affairs, Durham University. He is Director of the Durham Global Security Institute (DGSi). He is founder of the Everyday Peace Indicators project (with Pamina Firchow) and edits the journal Peacebuilding (with Oliver Richmond). His main research interests are on the interaction between top-down and bottom-up approaches to peace.
Day 1 of the conference will also feature panel discussions on identity and peace , peacebuilding - actors and (just) institutions , and challenging peace processes and grassroots resistance .
