Dr. Museveni N. Justine is a PhD candidate at UiT The Arctic University of Norway, affiliated with the Research Group for Child and Adolescent Health at the Faculty of Health Sciences. His research focuses on pediatric infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), and gut microbiota, with a particular emphasis on how early interventions, such as probiotics, may affect infant health in low-resource areas.

He is a co-investigator and coordinator of the ProRIDE study, a large randomized controlled trial conducted in Tanzania. In this role, he has had a central function in study design, recruitment of participants, data collection and technical follow-up. His research investigates probiotics' potential to reduce AMR, and the findings have been submitted for publication in the Lancet Global Health.

In addition to her PhD research, Dr. Justine is actively involved in capacity building in clinical research and international collaborations at the Haydom Global Health Research Center. His work is dedicated to translating research into practical solutions that improve the health of newborns and children in vulnerable populations.
