Many students have been led to believe that to perform well at university, they must sacrifice their wellbeing. Going without sleep, being stressed and overworking are supposed to improve your academic learning and performance. But actually, this isn’t the case. Nor is it the case that studying has to be bad for your wellbeing. It is possible to be well and learn well at university.

In this session we will explore the ways in which wellbeing and learning are linked and look at some simple and practical ways in which you can improve both. The session will draw on research evidence from psychology and education and include discussion and exercises to help you identify changes you can make to boost your wellbeing and learning.
