Ruth H. Paulssen is a professor of molecular biology and gene technology at the Department of Clinical Medicine, Faculty of Health Sciences. She is the research group leader of the Clinical Bioinformatics Research Group and head of the Genomics Support Centre Tromsø (GSCT). Her major research interest is to increase the fundamental understanding of the molecular events during inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, thereby improving the individualized treatment of patients, and to enable the unbiased prediction of favourable and personalized treatment strategies for patients with inflammatory conditions. This research will be carried out in collaboration with local, national, and international research partners from clinics, molecular biology, bioinformatics, and computer sciences.
